In recent days at the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, pianist and composer Sandro Barbieri from Crevalcore, along with singer and composer Maheya Collins, was a featured protagonist of the fourth edition of the \u201cMaria Callas Tribute Prize NY.\u201d<\/p>

Barbieri, who runs a music school in Crevalcore, presented the \u201cPuccini 100 in Jazz\u201d project with the singer on the occasion of the centenary of Giacomo Puccini\u2019s passing.<\/p>

\u201cA great emotion for me and Maestro Sandro Barbieri,\u201d said Collins, \u201cto be invited, welcomed, and applauded in an extraordinary setting like the Big Apple, and in a venue that promotes Italy at every level like the Cultural Institute of New York.\nOur achievement is having created a crossover between three musical styles that are otherwise completely distant from one another.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
